[ Guide ] Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Where to Recruit Every Characters

True to its name, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes does indeed have about a hundred characters to recruit. With so many characters to recruit, it obviously gets confusing and difficult to keep track of everyone.

As such, here we have prepared a guide, going through every character in the game and where you can find them. Some characters will join you automatically or only after a single conversion, but some have specific conditions to fulfill in order to show up. Note that characters may not be available in specific story segments, but as long as you see a recruitment splash screen, they are already recruited and will be available once the story brings them back.

Before we start, it goes without saying, spoiler alert, as the way some characters get recruited may inherently contain spoilers. Characters will also be listed according to which quest or major story event they begin to show up.

Character	Where and How to Recruit
Nowa	Nowa is the main character, thus available right from the start.
Lian	Joins you automatically at the start of the game.
Garr	Joins you automatically at the start of the game.
Mio	Joins you automatically at the start of the game.
The Watch Captain's First Job
Francesca	Speak with her in Altverden Village.
Mellore	Bump into her in Eltisweiss, then head over to Redthroat Ridge and support her in defeating the area boss.
Yusuke	Speak with him in Fort Xialuke.
Yume	Available after recruiting Mellore. Head over to Werne Village and speak with Yume's grandmother near the entrance, then head over to Redthroat Ridge and speak with her.
Iugo	Speak with him in the bar of Eltisweiss.
Kuroto	Speak with him in Altverden Village to initiate a quest. Head over to Redthroat Ridge to slay 3 Wild Boars then return to complete his quest. (Slaying the Wild Boars before talking to him still counts.)
Gigina	Only available after the events in the Abandoned Mine. Nowa must be level 9 or higher. Speak with him in Arenside.
Infiltrate the Empire
Sabine	Joins you automatically during the story segment where you are about to visit Werne Village.
Hoist the Alliance Banner
Ymir	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Cassandra	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Sumire	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Kogen	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Yuthus	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Zabi	Joins you automatically after you established the Alliance army.
Caine	Joins automatically after you got your Headquarters.
Iris	Joins automatically after you got your Headquarters.
Gocteau	Joins automatically after you got your Headquarters.
Martha	Speak with her on the east side in Headquarters.
Wyler	Speak to him near the entrance to Bounty Hill and complete the quest to search for his sister, Marin.
Marin	Recruited alongside Wyler at Bounty Hill once you completed his quest.
Falward	Speak with him in the Altverden Village meeting hall and bring him 15 Healing Herbs.
Kerrin	Speak to her in her hut by the east of the Dappled Forest entrance. Harvest 20 Lumber near her hut and hand them over to her.
Frida	Speak to her by her stall in the south-west of Werne Village.
Ormond	Speak to him in Map 4 of the Abandoned Mines. He will request for 3 Iron Ore, which you can mined before initiating the quest as long as you have in your inventory.
Hiro	Speak to him in the Map 2 of the Abandoned Mines.
Galdorf	Speak to him at the Abandoned Mines entrance. He will request a Palenight Mail, which can be found from a sparkle point in the mines or through a treasure chest in The Proving Grounds. It can also be found next to Ormond's spot in the mine and will be available for purchase in armor shops later in the game.
Dr. Corque	Begin the Beigoma scenario by the bottom left part of Eltisweiss, then defeat Spinadiers Taq in Altverden Village, Fender in Kyshiri Village, and Celera in Werne Village. Return to Eltisweiss and find Dr. Corque in his laboratory, the building by the right of the first fountain. Note: It may be difficult to win the Beigoma battles with early-game Beigoma. Dr. Corque can be recruited at any time as long as the conditions are met.
The Village of the Treefolk
Gieran	Speak to him in The Greatwood - East, defeat the Ancient Seed boss at the end of the Greatwood and hand him over the Rune of Conservation the boss drops.
Kallathor	Joins you automatically following the plots events in the Proving Grounds.
Euchrisse, the Land of Water
Glen	Speak with him at the west side of Arenside, and destroy him in a Card Battle.
Hakugin	Speak to her with Mio in your party. You can find her at the east of the Daphan Village entrance.
Chron	Speak to him at your Headquarters, towards the south gate.
Leon	Speak to him at the western entrance of the Headquarters once you achieved Headquarters Lv.2 or above.
Pieter	Speak to him in the northwest farming plot in Werne Village.
Squash	Speak to him beside the Trading Post in Treefolk Village. He will ask you to get him a Sparklestone, which has a 5% drop chance from Phantombird and Red Wyvern in the Dappled Forest.
Shixeen	Collect 120 individual cards for her to show up at the Headquarters. Defeat her in a Card Battle for her to join you. You can do so early with the second Card Ship upgrade, but it requires getting 84 out of 88 unique cards in Extra Pack 1.
Pastole	Speak to him in Twinhorne East. He can be found next to the town's tool shop.
Mariette	Speak to her in Twinhorne East and she will request you to retrieve back her Mariette's Charm. The item can be found through a Treasure Chest gimmick in a battle against a Rabbit Archwitch in The Greatwood - South.
Nell	Speak to him in Hishahn. He is hidden behind a stall at the north-west exit to the city.
Riufan	Speak to him in the north side of Hishahn when Nowa is level 32 or higher. Defeat him in a duel and he will join you.
Carrie	Cross the northwest, northeast, and southeast bridges in Hishahn and encounter her 3 times. Note: Carrie is a mandatory recruit to progress through Hishahn Old Town despite her not joining you automatically.
Faye	Shows up only after you have gotten to Hishahn. Trigger a scene with her on the path north of the Trading House in the commercial area of the Headquarters. After the scene, you must recruit B'baba by speaking to her in her abode in the northwest of Daphan Village. Then, visit B'baba in the far eastern room on the first floor of the Headquarters. Visit B'baba each time after you find Faye. Follow Faye around the Headquarters after all that, where she will guide you to Yusuke (Castle Rooftop), then Francesca (Castle 1F), and finally Yume (Castle 2F). Note that all 3 mentioned characters must already be recruited in order for the quest to progress.
B'baba	She can be recruited as part of Faye's questline.
Huang	Speak to him in near the Appraiser's Shop in Arenside and he will give you a Bamboo Rod. After catching a Wheel-Eye Bream, which can be found at the fishing spot in Euchrisse, speak to him again in Hishahn.
Perrielle	Joins you automatically while at the inn of Hishahn.
Janquis	Joins you automatically while at the inn of Hishahn.
Lam	Speak to Riufan in the inn of the Headquarters to start a quest, then bring him to Daphan Village. Speak to Lam in Daphan Village, then attempt to leave and speak with her again.
Kurtz	Speak to him outside the Smithy of Hishahn. After speaking to him, he will ask for a Grilled Tutuva Recipe, which can now be obtained by speaking to a Treefolk at the Trading Post of Treefolk Village.
Celia	After recruiting Kurtz, start the Cooking Battle scenario and fight through 10 opponents until Trey. Head into Seaside Cavern and find the Scroll of Heaven. Continue the Cooking Battle through the next 6 opponents and Celia will join you after you defeat the Masked Woman. Note: There is a 10-minute cooldown between battles.
Code L	Speak to him inside the Rune Shop of Daphan Village. He will ask for a Rune of Currents, which can be obtained earliest as a guaranteed drop from the Pagurian boss in Hishahn Old Town.
The Assassinated Emperor
Seign	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Hildi	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Pohl	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Melridge	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Valentin	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Barnard	Joins you automatically after consulting in the Great Hall of the Headquarters.
Milana	Speak to her at the Rune Shop in the Headquarters once the Rune Shop has been upgraded to Level 2.
Larla	Speak with her in the Eltisweiss inn once the Headquarters is at Level 2 or higher, the Mission Guild has been established, and achieved at least one "Epic Success" missing rating.
Enoe	Speak with him in the lowest west side of Daphan Village once the Headquarters is at Level 2 or higher and the Mission Guild has been established.
Fume	Speak with him near the second save point in Dappled Forest once the Headquarters is at Level 2 or higher and the Mission Guild has been established.
Douglas	Speak with him at the Smithy of Eltisweiss. He will request for 10 Iron Ore, which you can mine before initiating the quest as long as you have it in your inventory.
Maureus	Speak to him at the north-western dead-end of Moutain Path Homeward with a character in the party possessing 250 MP or higher.
Paquia	Speak to her by the eastern bridge of Arenside and give her 5 Regular Eggs.
Mandie	Joins alongside Paquia.
Isha	Speak to her at the southeastern fountain of Eltisweiss and complete her tasks. The black cat is located in the southwest corner of the city. After that, Isha will give the Stamp Card and additional tasks. The Cockatrice Egg can be obtained through a Treasure Chest gimmick in a battle against a Cockatrice in Mountain Path Homeward. Meanwhile, the Package for Arenside is to be delivered to the General Store in Arenside. Once everything is done, speak to her and she will join you.
Aire	Speak to her near the southwestern entrance of Hishahn and beat her in a race. To do so, Nowa needs to have 135 SPD or higher, which he gets at Level 36.
Prunella	Speak to her at the inn of Dababin and agree to pay 100,000 Baqua. She will return 50,000 Baqua and join you.
Jorhan	Speak to him outside the Trading Post in Hishahn. Then, bring him Yellow Rose Censer, which is dropped as an Unknown Antique by the Scarabs in the Eastern Desert.
Rody	Speak to him next to the General Store in Dabavin with a Pearl Pocket-Watch. If you hand over the watch, he will join you. A watch can be found through a Treasure Chest gimmick in random battles in the Eastern Desert.
Reyna	Speak to her by the harbor in Joins alongside Dabavin and agree to duel her. She will join you if you manage to reduce her HP by half within 3 turns.
Cabana	Speak to him east of the inn of Impershi'arc. The Headquarters must be at Level 2 or higher.
Stadler	Speak to him in the main square of Impershi'arc and defeat him in a Mock Battle.
Quinn	Speak to him outside the inn of Impershi'arc when Nowa is at least Level 37 or higher. Complete the Den of Dunes dungeon and defeat the boss there 3 times.
Yuferius VII	Joins you automatically following the Shi'arcraft Race.
Skyd	Joins you automatically following the Shi'arcraft Race.
Scarlet	Speak to her at the harbor of Impershi'arc and beat her in the Shi'arcraft Race within 01:12:00.
Ivy	Joins you automatically before the escape attempt during "Inhuman Research".
Yaelu	Joins you automatically before the escape attempt during "Inhuman Research".
Reunion
Durlan	The Headquarters must be at least Level 3 and the "Mission: Mission Task 1" facility upgrade developed. Speak to him by entering the Abandoned Mine via the Headquarters well.
Syd	The Headquarters must be at least Level 3. Speak to him outside of the Smithy in Hishahn and bring him 1 Mystic Lumber, 1 Iron Ore, and 1 Dire Beastbone.
Reid	Must have Dr. Corque recruited. Talk to Reid in Ardinale City and defeat Venom in Daphan Village, Thudd in Arenside, Zeph in Treefolk Village, Reid in the Headquarters, Flowe in Hishahn, Pyre in Impershi'arc, and Crash in Ardinale City in Beigoma battles.
Mihlu	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Clarke	Speak to him at the fountain south of Kesling Manor in Ardinale City. Show him The Star-Cross'd Lovers Script, which can be purchased from the Ardinale Tool Shop as a rare find that has a 30% to appear every 10 minutes.
To Norristar, the Western Nation
Marisa	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Garoo	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Selbineth	Speak to her in the Headquarters when the Headquarters is at least Level 3 with 80 or more characters being recruited. Complete the Build Mysterious Room plan, then speak to her again in the new room in the basement and attempt the Hero Mode. She will join you regardless of success.
Aleior	Speak to Marisa in the Headquarters, then talk to the villager near the entrance of Altverden Village, west of the Rune Shop with Marisa in your party. Head to the Abandoned Mine with Marisa and speak to Aleior.
CJ	Make sure to have both Isha and Garoo recruited. Speak to CJ at the Headquarters central exit, then bring Garoo and Isha to the Grum County-North Runebarrows, east of Arenside, and defeat the Prometheus enemy.
Chandra	The Headquarters needs to be at Level 2 or above and have the Training Grounds established. Trigger a cutscene when entering the Training Grounds, then bring Code L as a Support unit to the Eldroad and fight Chandra.
Dalton	The Headquarters needs to be at Level 2 or above and have the Mission Guild upgraded with Mission: Mission Task 1. Speak to Dalton outside the inn of Twinhorne East.
Assault
Goldsmid	Speak to him west of the floor change on the second floor of Yarnaan. If you have a character with at least 180 PWR in the party, he will join you. If you missed him Yarnaan, he will appear in Twinhorne West.
Alwe	Joins automatically after the story of discussing with the Elder in Yarnaan.
Nil	Joins automatically after the story of discussing with the Elder in Yarnaan.
Rohan	Speak to him in the Twinhorne West inn when the Headquarters population is over 5,000.
Hogan	Speak to him at the pier in Twinhorne West and now you have to make 50,000 Baqua profit in trading. Note that profit received prior to Hogan's quest does not count.
Rudy	Joins you automatically after you defeat Fenrir in the Ice Cave of Skriss Village.
Lilwn	Joins you automatically during the defense of Yarnaan.
Yarnaan Falls
Kassius	Joins you automatically after returning to Athrabalt Castle story event.
Euma	Joins you automatically after returning to Athrabalt Castle story event.
Aoi	Speak to her right of the Twinhorne East inn while Iugo is in the party. Defeat Aoi in a duel and she will join you.
Momo	To encounter her, cross the southeast bridge in Hishahn. She will request you to defeat the Kraken boss in the Seaside Cavern.
Foxiel	Speak to her in the eastern square of Athrabalt. Then, head back to the Headquarters to speak to Kurtz before returning to Foxiel with the Vegetable Milk Soup item.
Galladur	Speak to him west of the corridor rotating device in the Proving Grounds. Defeat the enemies that follow in one turn.
Wayve	Joins you automatically during the story event when Marisa's team prepares to leave.
El Alicanto	After returning to Athrabalt Castle following the events on Snowpeak Pass, head over to the northern ridge's northernmost dead-end of Snowpeak Pass and defeat El Alicanto in a duel.
The General's Decision
Yulin	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Allaby	Speak to her by the piano in the Headquarters inn.
Dijkstra	Speak to him by the docks in Twinhorne East with Quinn in your party. Head over to Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu, and defeat the Goblomancer.
Lakían	Joins you automatically before storming into Castle Harganthia.
Markus	Joins you automatically before storming into Castle Harganthia.
The Final Battle!
Viesskin	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Vorrdice	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Goldwyn	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Elektra	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Maxim	Joins you automatically at the point of the story.
Leene	Joins automatically after the victory speech if you have recruited all other 119 characters.
