An aspect that sets Eggy Party apart from other similar games is the upgradeable talents and ultimate skills system, offering more strategic options to achieve victory in the chaotic rainbow mayhem.
As Eggy Party offers a plethora of talents and skills to choose from, some of you may be confused about which should you utilize, especially in the ranked mode.
Talents
Let’s start off by looking into the different upgradeable Talents currently available in Eggy Party.
An important thing to always take note of is that Talents can be downgraded at any time to enable different build paths. You also do not necessarily need to maximize a specific talent first as you can upgrade different stats simultaneously.
Without further ado, here’s a talent breakdown and what to recommend.
- Roll Acceleration – This talent increases the rate of your rolling acceleration, which can be useful for racing minigames. Since rolling tends to be faster than running, this talent is great for catching up to other players while also having the ability to knock them up, slowing them down in the process.
- Roll Duration – This increases the duration of your Eggy rolling. As mentioned, rolling made it easier to catch up with running players so increasing the duration, means that there is more time to chase up other racers.
- Max Move Speed – Increases the maximum top speed of the player, thus granting an advantage against any players at any form of race. Highly recommended.
- Max Roll Speed – Upgrading this will increase the top speed when you are rolling. A great talent for upgrading especially for catching up when near the finish line.
- Move Acceleration – This talent increases the rate at which your Eggy gains speed from a complete stop. This is particularly useful for less skilled players as it minimizes the consequences of accidents and opens up room to catch up.
- Roll Cooldown – Upon upgrading, the cooldown of the rolling ability is lowered, thus allowing for more rolling.
Depending on your playstyle, we would recommend upgrading either Max Movespeed or Move Acceleration first, while maximizing rolling-centric talents later.
If you are comfortable with the controls and can ensure minimum mistakes, Max Movespeed is the choice to go as it allows you to reach top speed quicker. Meanwhile, if you tend to hit bumps here and there, Move Acceleration will help get you back in the race by increasing the rate at which you gain speed.
Ultimate Skills
This segment will cover the Ultimate Skills available in Eggy Party, an important aspect of the game. As these Skills offer unique properties to alter the outcome of a race, it is important to figure out which to bring on certain situations.
Attack Type
Eggy Bomb
The first available Ultimate Skill that all players get. Once triggered, the player will morph itself into a ticking time bomb. During this state, players can still run around for a few seconds before they explode, dealing damage to nearby players and knocking them back.
A particularly useful ability during PvP matches as its knockback potential can push opponents off the stage, ensuring victory. Even if you are not able to hit your opponents, it still serves as a great tool to scare them off.
Thunderbolt
This second unlockable skill has players summon a thundercloud above an opponent, causing lightning bolts to rain down upon them, partially staggering them and dealing a good chunk of damage.
Especially useful in archery battles where players engage each other at a distance.
Snowball
Unlocked at level 8, this straightforward ability causes the player to throw a massive snowball at an opponent, freezing them upon contact.
Comparable to Thunderbolt but focuses more on immobilization than damage dealing.
Haunt
Unlockable at level 13. Haunt is an ability that unleashes a spooky ghost to chase down an opponent. Once caught, the opponent will also become a ghost and pursue other targets, sending any enemies flying.
Jack-in-the-Box
This clown-themed ability can be unlocked at level 15. When used, the player throws a giant jack-in-the-box to a location to inflict fear on surrounding Eggies, sending them fleeing in an opposite direction.
Anyone who fears clowns will be sure to agree that this skill is especially useful during races.
Bubble
This final Attack type skill is unlockable at level 17. When used, the player blows out bubbles that wrap enemies upon contact, immobilizing them for quite a significant duration.
A good ability in many situations, especially during racing.
Survival Type
Gigantify
Unlockable at level 14. When activated, the player grows significantly in size and becomes a giant, gaining protection against immobilizing abilities.
As a giant, the player will also be able to knock other players down upon collision, making this skill ideal for stages requiring you to push others off the arena.
Rewind
Manipulate the time and erase your mistakes. At level 20, the Rewind skill will be unlocked, enabling you to warp back in time to a previous location a few seconds ago. During the rewind, you will be immune to everything. Can be useful for specific scenarios.
Invincible
At level 6, you can unlock your first Survival skill, Invincible. When cast, enables you to dodge all attacks and become invulnerable to immobilizing effects for its duration.
Extremely useful for many situations, allowing you to easily evade any skills that can impede your progress and maintain the lead.
Support Type
Transform
Obtainable upon hitting level 12, the Transform ability allows players to shoot out a star onto a target to transform her or her into an animal. In a way that functions similar to Snowball, opponents who become the animal will have a harder time controlling their Eggy.
Invisible
Can be unlocked at level 10. Invisible, as the name implies, causes players to become camouflaged from the environment for a short period. This can be a valuable tool in team battles, or stages where evading enemies becomes a necessary strategy.
Each skill offers something unique to the battlefield and can range from useful to situational depending on the mode. One that is universally good is Invincible as it allows you to avoid all other skills cast by your opponents, making it useful regardless of modes, whether be races or stage knockouts.
If you are feeling a little naughty and want to mess with your opponents greatly, we would recommend Thunderbolt, Snowball, and Bubble as those apply immobilizing effects that slow them down and give you winning advantages.
These are all the currently available talents and skills in Eggy Party. We hope this guide is proven to be useful for you to decide which abilities to bring along for the chaotic rainbow ride to victory.
