Bianca may have stopped believing in God, but that doesn’t mean you should stop believing in RNGesus as you pull her in Punishing Gray Raven. Bianca: Veritas aka S Bianca is one of the top DPS Constructs in the game, right up there together with Alpha. This guide will help you bring out her full potential.
Bianca: Veritas Overview
S Bianca is a Lightning Attacker who is ranged. Unfortunately for Lucia: Dawn (A Lucia), S Bianca is undisputedly better than her in almost every single way, replacing A Lucia as the premiere lightning team DPS. For Phantom Pain Cage, she is effective against Vassago (the huge worm), and Amberia and Siren in the future. She deals less damage to Leon.
Here are her active skills:
- Core Passive (3-ping Red + any number of Blue Orb)
After a Red 3-ping, consuming blue orbs will enter Sniper Mode. Basic attacks will fire off a long-range penetrating lightning arrow, dealing 250(500)% lightning damage, exits Sniper Mode after 6 seconds, or successfully shooting 6 arrows. When dodging during Sniper Mode, the next basic attack will have a faster charge rate. Basic attacks no longer return orbs in Sniper Mode.
- Red Orb
Charges an energy arrow that penetrates enemies when fired, dealing 120/240/360(240/480/720)% physical damage. Deals lightning damage on 3-ping.
- Yellow Orb
Flash towards the sky, shooting out a charged arrow, dealing 50/100/150(100/200/300)% physical damage, leaving a lightning field centred around the target. Enemies within the field are slowed by 20/35/50% and receive 40/60/80% lightning damage per second. The field last 3/5/7 seconds.
- Blue Orb
Detonate an arrow, releasing an energy pulse that repels enemies in close proximity, dealing 20/40/60(40/80/120)% physical damage. Gain 1 lightning charge.
Normal attacks fire 1 additional lightning arrow, dealing 8/16/24(16/32/48)% lightning damage. Red orbs and core passive will trigger 2 additional lightning arrows, dealing 12/24/36(24/48/72)% lightning damage. Lasts for 8 seconds.
- Ultimate
Consume 100 energy. Fire off a barrage of arrows towards the sky, triggering a chain lightning strike, each arrow dealing 80(160)% lightning damage within an area. Each arrow detonates for 90(180)% lightning damage after a set delay.
Gameplay Tips
Always use Sniper Mode
S Bianca’s bread and butter is her Sniper Mode. It has an insane multiplier for lightning damage and is the reason why she is such a meta character. Try to keep Sniper Mode up as much as you can, or her DPS will start to suffer.
In Sniper Mode, dodge to increase fire rate
Dodging removes the windup animation for your next shot in Sniper Mode, effectively making S Bianca shoot faster. However, remember not to go too crazy with dodging as there is a cooldown for it and you do not want to get caught in a situation without an escape.
Use Blue Orb right after switching in
As with most of the other Constructs whose Core Passive involves a 3-ping followed by a specific orb activation (Lucia: Lotus, Watanabe: Astral, etc.), you can immediately activate a blue orb to trigger Sniper Mode.
She suffers a lot more than others if she does not use her 6-star weapon
Compared to other Constructs, S Bianca is far more dependent on her 6-star signature weapon than other Constructs. The 5-star bow boosts crit rate and crit damage, but she hardly benefits from it as elemental damage cannot proc crit. If you want to make the most out of S Bianca as a lightning DPS, you need to give her signature weapon, Tonitrus.
Use Yellow Orb to reposition
Unless your Bianca: Veritas has evolved to SSS-Rank, her Yellow Orb skill doesn’t synergise as well with the rest of her kit for damage. If you have to get rid of an orb to sort them better, Yellow Orbs should be your priority. On the plus side, S Bianca can leap in any direction when you use her Yellow Orb skill, making it a good alternative for dodging. The game doesn’t consider it as a dodge, though, so you cannot trigger Matrix or receive the buff from Frederick for that.
Recommended Builds
There are 2 main builds for S Bianca in Punishing Gray Raven.
4 Heisen 2 Condelina
The Condelina build is an early game build, capitalising on S Bianca’s insane normal attack damage from Sniper Mode. However, this build becomes less and less effective DPS-wise compared to the Frederick build as your S Bianca evolves. However, Condelina build is a more beginner-friendly build, as you don’t need to worry about dodging to maximise DPS.
For Condelina build, you’ll want the 2 Condelina to occupy either slots 1, 2 or 3 to have the most ATK stat overall.
4 Heisen 2 Frederick
The Frederick build is recommended for more competitive players. It will do more damage than Condelina build, and the difference in damage becomes more and more obvious as S Bianca evolves. Aim to dodge 3 times before shooting in Sniper Mode for maximum damage. Note: You don’t need to dodge immediately and back-to-back before Sniper Mode—there is a 5 second opening between each dodge for the buff to stack, so as long as you dodge 3 times within 5 seconds of each dodge, you can maintain the damage buff.
For Frederick build, you’ll want the 2 Frederick to occupy either slots 4, 5 or 6 to have the most ATK stat overall.
Recommended Teammates
Liv: Lux
Liv: Lux aka A Liv is the only lightning healer in the game at the moment. At SS-Rank, Liv: Lux’s QTE will boost lightning damage by 20% making her an amazing teammate to have for S Bianca.
As for other teammates, A Karenina/Karenina Blast is recommended for grouping enemies up in Warzone (Bianca’s Sniper Mode attack pierces through enemies). For Tanks, anyone would do at the moment. The next event in Punishing Gray Raven after Eternal Engine will add Chrome: Arclight who will be the best Tank for S Bianca.
We hoped that you found this guide for Bianca: Veritas useful. We also wish that the gacha gods are on your side as you pull for her!
