Guardians of The Galaxy Game presents Lady Hellbender

Square Enix has revealed the latest trailer for Eidos-Montreal’s upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game, based on the Marvel characters of the same name. It features a new character, Lady Hellbender.

Lady Hellbender is a fairly new addition to the Marvel Universe. She first appeared in 2015 within the pages of Totally Awesome Hulk #1. She would later appear in venom and Guardians of the Galaxy comics.

We don’t know much about her past but what we do know is that her full name is Lady Marguerite Hellbender. She’s an alien warrior queen who rules a planet called Seknaf Nine. She has a love for monsters and spends the majority of her time hopping from planet to planet looking for exotic monsters to catch and collect like she’s playing intergalactic Pokemon Go.

The Guardians of the Galaxy game will be a single-player action-adventure game developed by Eidos-Montreal, the developers of the Deus Ex Series.

Square Enix’s last collaboration with the Marvel brand: Marvel’s The Avenger, a live service game, suffered from a mixed reception and heavy decline in its player base. Perhaps a unique single-player experience like Guardians will be able to remedy the Marvel-Square Enix partnership in the eyes of the public. But time will tell.

Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy will be releasing on October 26th for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. You can find out more on the official website.

This isn’t the first Guardians of the Galaxy game. They also had their own TellTale series a few years back.
