Developer Kakao Games has shared their development plans for Season 2 of Guardian Tales, revealing future content until Summer 2021.
Once Season 1 ends with the release of Chapter 11 of story mode, the second season of Guardian Tales will begin. The future content that comes with Season 2 will roll out in 7 steps as seen below.
Note that this first half year roadmap is only a plan and may differ upon eventual release. In addition, the release months are based on the Korean server.
Here is a rough summary of what each step of development brings:
Step 1: World Exploration Mode & Merchandise Creation System
Similar to Operation Siren in Azur Lane, World Exploration Mode is a large PvE map. Players fight the Invader, with a World Boss in each World. Taking part in this mode gives players merch material, which is an ingredient for merch. Merch is a new type of equipment item, limited to one merch per hero.
Step 2: Co-op Official Open
Co-op Official Open permanently adds co-op to the game. Co-op and PvP schedules will alternate every week. Rewards from Co-op will also be similar to Arena rewards.
Step 3: Kama-ZONE Reform
Kama-ZONE no longer requires tickets for entry. Difficulty levels will change, with better rewards the higher the difficulty. Kama-ZONE will also have Season Artifacts implemented.
Step 4: Hero Faith System
Heroes can get stronger from being faithful to the god of their choice. Increase your hero’s faith level with relics that are obtainable from Adventure, World Exploration or Events.
Step 5: Division of Arena League & Top Arena System
Arena will be divided into leagues. Those who ranked highly in the normal arena can take part in the Top Arena, which features a hero ban/pick system.
Step 6: Story Replay
Allows players to replay past story missions.
Step 7: New Guild Contents
Improvements to the Guild System such as Guild Exploration, Guild War, Guild Co-op.
