Rockstar Games has decided to officially unveil the first trailer for the much anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI (hereafter “GTA 6”) ahead of its scheduled time after it leaked online.
The debut trailer for GTA 6 has confirmed that the open-world crime title will be launching sometime in 2025 with dual protagonists Lucia and her partner.
Rockstar Games has also revealed that the game is coming to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, however, no mentions of a Windows PC version.
Edited with Tom Petty’s “Love Is A Long Road” playing in the background, GTA 6 will be set in the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City, or rather Grand Theft Auto’s fictional take on Miami, Florida.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games.
“We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”

The first trailer for GTA 6 was originally scheduled for 5th December 2023, at 10 PM (UTC+8), but it appeared to have leaked less than 24 hours before its debut.
The unconfirmed trailer began circulating Twitter but the leaker’s account was quickly suspended, followed by Rockstar releasing the trailer to its channels earlier with a Tweet saying, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”
