Netmarble’s Seven Knights was a top-grossing turn-based 2D RPG for mobile that features adorable characters, while the sequel, Seven Knights 2 is different than its predecessor in a lot of ways. We first heard about the sequel back in October 2017 and during G-Star 2018, we finally got the chance to enjoy the demo. So check out our gameplay and first impressions below!
Being the 3D RPG now, the demo for Seven Knights 2 features a roster of 19 playable characters that can be categorized into a few classes – physical/magic attack and ranged/melee. The cinematic scenes are all gorgeous with the Korean voiceovers (but you will probably need a good smartphone to fully enjoy it). It appears that you can see other players in real-time on the map too.
In the game, you will travel around using a left joystick, while on the right you will have some buttons to talk, attack or release skills. You can auto-quest as well as auto-battle if you want to, however the skills still require you to release them manually.
You will bring a team of 4 from the available characters to enter a battle. During a battle, you can switch between different characters easily just by pressing their icon on the top left. Every attack in the battle fills up the ultimate skills bar as you will be able to release your ultimate skills when the bar is fully replenished. A mini-map that shows enemies in red dots is available on the top-right.
You should be glad to know that you can also switch between 3 camera views and you can rotate your camera angle anytime in the game. Aside from joining battles and boss fight, some quests will ask you to perform certain activities such as picking up a few plants too!
We are still looking forward to more details regarding the launch schedule or the news of global version in the works, we will keep you updated once Netmarble has shared the updates. You can visit the official site for more information as well. Stay tuned for more first impressions on the game demos in G-Star 2018!
