Gridman Universe , The Dynazenon Crossover Movie, Release Date Announced

Tsuburaya has announced the release date of Gridman Universe, the previously announced crossover movie combining SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon.

In a short teaser, they announced that Gridman Universe would release on March 24th, 2023 in Japanese theaters.

The teaser doesn’t really go into specifics about what the movie is actually about: instead we see the return of the main cast of SSSS.Gridman, an unspecified amount of time after the events of the anime’s ending.

As it tends to be with this series Kaiju shenanigans happen, and we even get a quick glimpse of Gridman, though little further context is given.

We’re of course also treated to the return of the Dynazenon cast, including its Dynarex form.

Even the movie’s website is being mum on the plot details, only promising a crossover between the two popular characters.

It’s safe to assume, however, we’ll get more information on the movie’s plot as we get closer to the actual release date.

The SSSS.Project is Tsuburaya’s brand of anime based off their Gridman Tokusastu show, starting with 2018’s SSSS.Gridman.

Both Gridman and Dynazenon have seen quite a bit of popularity online, especially considering their fairly niche origins.

Gridman in particular has also featured in multiple other games, such as AzurLane and Super Robot Wars 30.
