Grasshopper Manufacture, the studio led by acclaimed video game director Suda51 is starting a new series of video developer diaries called ‘Grasshopper Archives’ on their Youtube Channel.
Here is the newly released trailer they uploaded today. The trailer says the series will show fans “stuff you can’t see anywhere else”.
“We’re currently putting the finishing touches on what we like to call “Shin-Grasshopper V.6.0”. Get a first-hand look at how the sausage gets made with your very own eyeballs when we launch the all-new ”Grasshopper Archives” – coming soon to a shiny rectangle near you!”
In the trailer, Suda51 and several other Grasshopper employees discuss making games and wanting to reach out to their audience through Youtube.
“I think we really need to step up our game as far as stuff like Youtube in particular goes. I feel like it’s the best possible platform for communicating directly and I really want to get closer and more in touch with gamers throughout the world from here on out.”
There isn’t much more information about Grasshopper Archives outside of the announcement video. It’s not confirmed if the video series will be about the making of past projects, upcoming games, game development in general, or a mixture of all these topics.
It hasn’t been announced when the first video will be uploaded but the trailer tells fans to “stay tuned.”
