Cygames has officially launched Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, the updated re-release of their fighting game.
Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is available now on PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam, allowing players to pit their favorite Granblue characters against each other.
This includes the entirety of the roster of the original Granblue Fantasy Versus, as well as several newcomers like Nier and Grimnir.
It’s not just a roster update, though, as the gameplay itself has been reworked with various new mechanics such as the Dash Attack and Triple Attack, a new autcombo with a mixup ender allowing players a chance to better grasp their fundamentals.
Rising also includes a heavily fan-requested feature- rollback netcode, allowing players to enjoy smoother matches even when not playing in the same country.
However, it’s not just versus features in the new version- the game also sports a new mode called Grand Bruise Legends, a Fall Guys-style obstacle course you navigate with your own custom character.
Granblue Fantasy Versus received a positive reception at launch for a variety of unique features- particularly the single-button special moves, which allow players to do shortcuts or full input versions of various character’s skills.
The game also sports both hold-to-block and block buttons, allowing you to mix it up and use them as the situation calls for them.
Additionally, fans who want to try the game out first can also get the Free Edition, which sports a rotating roster of free characters to try.
