Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Adds Siegfried To The Roster

Cygames has announced that Siegfried will be the latest character to be added to the roster of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.

This was announced at EVO Japan over the weekend alongside a new trailer for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising that teases Siegfried right at the end:

The official description says that “Using his sword’s long reach, Siegfried excels at mid-range combat and keeping his opponent at bay. He can consume some of his health to activate Manigance, which gives him a temporary large boost to his attack power”.

Within Granblue lore, Siegfried is one of the four dragon knights along with Percival and Lancelot who were both in the original game. This leaves Vane as the only member of the knights that is not yet in Granblue Versus and a playable fighter.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is an updated version of the original Granblue Fantasy Versus, a fighting game spin-off of the Granblue Fantasy mobile game. The game is made in partnership with Arc System Works, who previously developed the Guilty Gear games.

The game will also be having a new beta test in May. This will occur on the PlayStation 4 and 5 versions of the game.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will launch in 2023 for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
