Granblue Fantasy and Doraemon collab event starts 8 December

To cap off the year, the Granblue Fantasy and Doraemon collaboration event will be starting 8 December, as announced by the official Twitter. This means the event will be happening before the start of Granblue Fantasy Fes 2021, with previews getting gradually released, like Doraemon and Nobita’s art in the Granblue art style.

Interestingly, Doraemon will be launching an official app “Doraemon Channel” for mobile devices, promising app-only content. The app will offer free viewing of presumably one episode of the anime / one chapter of the manga that will be updated weekly. There will be a paid subscription service where fans can watch all the anime episodes and read the manga chapters. They plan to release movie content from January 2022 as well.

It’s not unusual should there be app / regional tie-ins, much like how the Sky Compass is Granblue‘s companion app for event schedules, among other things. It’s been used for check-ins at real life events for any relevant bonuses.

With roughly over a week left for the event to start, look forward to at least one new SSR character, SSR summon, event weapon and the hallowed 10-draw ticket in preparation for the Christmas and New Year roulette characters. These collaboration events are also typically two-parters, so stay tuned to that as well.
