As we’d previously reported, Granado Espada will be launching a mobile version, with the logo for the game, Granado Espada M. You can see the logo below, as revealed via MMOCulture:
No specific features for this mobile version has been mentioned besides the logo, merely quoting Hanbitsoft as saying “Granado Espada M plans to inherit and optimize the original game’s originality and unique gameplay to mobile users.” The game is being developed by T3 Entertainment, rather than the game’s creator, IMC Games.
The game has been going strong for 14 years now since its initial 2006 launch in South Korea. This mobile version would be joining a multitude of other big MMORPG properties also having made their way to the mobile market, Black Desert and World of Dragon Nest being a couple of the examples.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s a basic summary:
“Granado Espada is a Korean fantasy MMORPG developed by IMC Games Co.,Ltd. Originally released in South Korea in February 2006, the English localizations were launched in the summer of 2007 in North America and Southeast Asia. Granado Espada won the 2006 Korean Presidential Award for Best Graphics and Game of the Year, with features previously unseen in an MMORPG (such as the ability for players to control multiple characters at the same time). Granado Espada features a unique art style based on the Baroque period of Europe, differing from the standard “sword and sorcery” fantasy themes of the genre.”
