The previously announced Gran Saga and Final Fantasy 15 / FFXV collaboration has now begun for the Japanese release. The collaboration event will run from 7 April 2022, 04:00 JST to 21 April 2022, 04:00 JST. If you haven’t seen the original teaser for the collab yet, see it below:
With the road trip boys finding themselves in the fantasy world of Gran Saga, the FFXV cast are available at SSR rarity, with Noctis, Prompto, Gladio and Ignis as time limited Gran Weapons. There’s also a coy acknowledgement of “that boss character” likewise making an appearance. Additionally, you may also acquire collab summons like Bahamut, Shiva, Leviathan, Ramuh and Titan by acquiring certain collab achievements. This is on top of collab Artifacts, which are gacha like the Gran Weapons. The Gran Saga cast themselves have gotten collaboration outfits as inspired by the heroes of the other world. Russ’ collab outfit is available as a special log in bonus reward.
Last but not least, the collab event comes with a crossover story for another way to get collab limited Artifacts and relevant upgrade materials. Details about the collab can be found via the official website’s notice, with specifics on acquisitions available in game.
If you’d like to try out the collab yourself, you’d have to download the Japanese client. Hopefully, news about a global release would surface sooner rather than later.
