The invocation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series of horror novels should ring familiar for some of you, and if so, the announcement of game developer Pixowl’s Goosebumps HorrorTown should put a smile on you face.
Goosebumps HorrorTown is a mix of city-building and monster collecting as you’ll be able to take on dual roles in the game, to which the developer had the following to say:
“Players take on dual roles: gathering a scary assortment of sinister creatures to terrify townsfolk and playing as humans to defend against the monsters by investigating monster activity and exploring the map to unlock new areas and adventures. As monsters, players can scare humans to obtain materials and add new creatures, while as humans they can gather resources, craft items, and spy on the monsters.”
While not exactly a game genre one would expect from the Goosebumps franchise, things do sound interesting from the description so far, so do look forward to its release at the end at the end of the month.
