Google Play Games allows you to play popular mobile games like Cookie Run and Arknights on your PC with benefits like better controls via the mouse and keyboard, as well as a bigger screen. Google also says that it will have a seamless sync across all platforms so save data from your phone will appear on your computer.
In order to try the Beta, you can download it from the Google Play Games Official Website. You’ll need a PC with the following specs for the software:
- Windows 10 (v2004)
- Solid state drive (SSD)
- Gaming-class GPU
- 8 logical cores of CPU
- 8 GB of RAM
- 20 GB of available storage space
- Windows admin account
- Hardware virtualization must be turned on
- Compatible PC device and configuration
There are currently 85 games available on the service but Google says that more will be added in the future.
There is currently no official release date for the full version of the service. Google first released the Google Play Games Beta earlier this year in Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand and has now brought it to more countries like Malaysia and Singapore. We’ll likely see the beta come to more regions in the future before the full release.
