There’s a rumor going around that a Goddess of Victory: NIKKE anime adaptation is currently in discussion. Do take this with a grain of salt as not much else is known besides that it is being discussed with a major Japanese studio animation company.
There is however a screenshot of a translated document on reddit highlighting that:
“We are currently in discussions with a major Japanese anime production company to create an animated version of Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Our approach is to engage current users.”
NIKKE isn’t the first gacha game to have an anime adaptation if this discussion does go through. Genshin Impact has one right now in production stage while Blue Archive already has one titled “Blue Archive The Animation”. It was aired from April to June 2024.
Many fans are excited at the prospect of the game getting an anime adaptation. Goddess of Victory: NIKKE has gained popularity for various reasons. The character designs are definitely one of them as each character boasts visually stunning designs and artwork along with interesting backstories and unique personalities.
As a gacha game, Nikke encourages collection and customization of characters. The social aspects, including guilds and multiplayer modes, also contribute to its appeal.
Fans have agreed that NIKKE does have an engaging storyline that would keep the audience’s attention if it does get adapted into an anime. Some are hoping that it might be MAPPA studios that would work on it while others have mentioned maybe Ufotable might get it as they are already working on Genshin’s adaptation. Again, these are just speculations at best as there’s no concrete evidence that we’ll get a NIKKE anime.
