Girls’ Frontline will be receiving an anime adaptation planned for a 2021 release. The official portal for the animation project lists SUNBORN Network and Warner Brothers Japan as collaborators, with ASAHI Production being the studio behind it.
Exact details about the Girls’ Frontline anime adaptation are scarce for the moment, with more information to be released in the future, but illustrations by 多元菌 for the four initial AR Team have been revealed. It would sound like the anime will cover the initial arc of the game’s story.
For the unfamiliar, Girls’ Frontline is a mobile tactical strategy RPG developed my MICATeam. As a newly recruited commander under the private military company Griffin & Kryuger, you are in charge of utilizing Tactical Dolls (T-Dolls for short), advanced armed androids to complete a variety of missions. The game will be having a collaboration event with Ubisoft’s The Division in the coming week, for those who want to jump into the game.
Girls’ Frontline as a franchise is also branching off into an upcoming sequel game known as Exilium, a spin-off known as Project Neural Cloud, and Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery which takes place in the same universe. There is also Girls’ Frontline: Glitch Land which is a fan game that got green-lit by MICATeam.
