Gear up, Commanders – because the official website for the JP version of Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium has launched, and the game will be launching in Japan this year, 2024.
Alongside the new Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium website, an official X account for the JP version has also opened. However, as of writing, there are no posts published yet.
At the same time, fans and data miners found data regarding different language servers of the game with new logos found within the most recent update for the currently released Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium CN server.
For reference, the other game language servers (TW, JP, KR, EN) were just added to GFL2. pic.twitter.com/46xcxTKAV6

The logo includes the Japanese version of the game’s title, but also the highly anticipated English version of Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium.
Among the logos, one with Traditional Chinese for the Taiwanese version was also found, as well as the Korean version. The Taiwanese version and Korean version also have their own respective official websites.
All these hinted that we might be hearing news regarding a global launch of the game soon; however, it is all but speculation.
The game launched in China a few months ago in December 2023, and fans were eagerly waiting for any news of Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium releasing outside of the region.
A global version was confirmed in an interview with news media 4Gamer, back in 2021, long before the game was officially released in China.
Meanwhile, a Korean version will be hosted by X.D. Global subsidiary Haoplay. In fact, the Korean Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium X account has been actively marketing the game.

For the uninitiated, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is an XCOM-lite strategy gacha title for Android, iOS, and PC. Despite being a sequel to an equally popular gacha title, the game runs alongside the original rather than replacing it.
Taking place 12 years after the start of Girls’ Frontline, Griffin and Kyuger have been dismantled by the government for being too powerful, but the Commander, who the player will control, continues to lead the Tactical Dolls, the collectible waifus with guns in this game.
