Gigantic, the third-person MOBA hero shooter hybrid, is set to make a return with the Rampage Edition 5 years after its shutdown.
After its first launch in 2017 only to be shut down a year later, Gigantic will be re-released in a “premium and definitive” version scheduled for April 9, 2024.
Now under Gearbox Publishing, Gigantic: Rampage Edition will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via both Steam and Epic Games Store for $19.99.
For the uninitiated, the game is a hybrid of a MOBA and a hero shooter by developer Motiga, where two teams of five pit against each other to take down the opposing team’s giant Guardian.
Aside from returning from a shutdown, the Rampage Edition will also be introducing plenty of new features to the game, including cross-play support and various gameplay improvements.
Many new content will also be introduced in the Rampage Edition such as Roland and Kajir as the two new heroes.
There will also be two new maps, one taking place in a breezy seaside while the other in an industrialized district.
The publisher also noted that there will be no microtransactions and all content will be unlocked through gameplay or in-game currency earned by playing.
Post-launch content update is also planned for the game, including the introduction of a Ranked Mode and free new hero skins.
A closed beta test is also slated to be held starting February 22 on Steam and registration for it is now available.
