Update (09/03/22): Ghostwire Tokyo – Prelude Corrupted Case File is now available on Steam for free.
A visual prequel to the upcoming Ghostwire Tokyo titled, Ghostwire Tokyo – Prelude Corrupted Case File is now available for free on the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5 and will be coming to PC later next week on the 8th of March.
Ghostwire Tokyo – Prelude tells the story of KK and his team of paranormal detectives. While attempting to investigate a disappearance, they stumble upon a sinister entity that could lead to a greater supernatural disaster that will likely connect to the events of the main game. The visual novel will involve interacting with the rest of KK’s squad, giving players a greater amount of detail about the world and their stories.
Developed by Shinji Mikami’s studio Tango Gameworks, Ghostwire Tokyo is a horror-action title set in a neon-filled psychedelic Tokyo overrun with yokai and demons.
Within Ghostwire Tokyo itself, KK is a spirit possessing the main character Akito and is the one who grants him supernatural powers to fight against the various entities around the city. The two combat the spirits throughout the game, it is clear that KK has his own agenda that he wishes to fulfill.
Ghostwire Tokyo will be released later this month on the 25h of March 2022 for the Playstation 5 and PC.
