One would assume that in the light of the success of Pokémon Go, there would be a lot more augmented reality (AR) games based on popular IPs. Sure enough, one of the games next in line is Ghostbusters, with South Korea-based publisher 4:33 announcing Ghostbusters World, which will be developed partnership with game studio NextAge. Ghostbusters World is said to feature the latest in AR and other mobile technologies and differentiates itself with skill-based gameplay and numerous other exciting features yet to be announced.
Ghostbusters World will see players do battle with ghosts, which you must eventually capture and contain. As for the ghosts themselves, all of it will be recognisable and come from the various Ghostbuster media, including movies, TV and comics. The game is scheduled for a launch for Android and iOS devices in 2018. Further details regarding the game will be revealed at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) taking place in March 2018.
