Ghost of Yotei, the highly anticipated sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima, will have its release date on October 2, 2025, Sony and Sucker Punch Productions have announced. The release date confirmation arrives alongside a new trailer showcasing fresh cinematics, combat footage, and the game’s stunning environments. The game was first revealed during a State of Play presentation in September 2024 with only a vague “2025” timeframe.
The new trailer introduces players to Atsu, the newest “Ghost” protagonist who is hunting the Yōtei Six, a gang of outlaws responsible for ravaging her home and killing her parents. Carrying a parchment with six names, Atsu’s revenge mission will allow players to freely choose which targets to pursue first.
Sucker Punch has confirmed that players can take on dangerous bounties or seek out weapon senseis between pursuing main targets. The trailer also highlighted new weapons, combat animations, and a wolf companion that players can direct in battle, along with the return of the series’ signature dynamic wind physics.

The standard edition of Ghost of Yōtei will cost $70 (£69.99/€79.99/¥8,980), while the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $80. The premium version includes The Snake’s armor set, a unique horse color and saddle dye, an in-game Charm, and a Gold Sword kit.

Pre-orders will receive a unique in-game mask and seven PSN avatars featuring concept art of Atsu and each member of the Yōtei Six. A collector’s edition has also been announced, featuring physical items including a replica of Atsu’s Ghost mask, a 71-inch replica sash with the names of the Yōtei Six, and a replica of the Tsuba from Atsu’s katana.
