Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced that Ghost of Tsushima, which was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 4, will be coming to PC with the newly announced Director’s Cut.
According to an official PlayStation blog post, game porting specialist Nixxes Software is collaborating with creators Sucker Punch Productions to bring the critically acclaimed title to PC on May 16th, 2024.
A PC features trailer was also released to showcase what would be included when the game lands on PC.
PC release for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will include the full game, the Iki Island Expansion, and the Legends Co-op Online Multiplayer Mode.
The game is optimized with ultra-wide monitor support, supporting 21:9 or 32:9 resolutions and even 48:9 resolutions for triple monitor setups.
Furthermore, the PC version will also include upscaling and frame-generation AI technology for further performance optimization, specifically NVIDIA DLSS 3, DLAA, AMD FSR 3, and FSR 3 Native AA.
The special Kurosawa Mode, inspired by the movies of legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa, will also be included in the PC release, allowing players to play the game in black and white with film-grain effects.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is available for wishlist and pre-purchase on Steam and the Epic Games Store, those who pre-purchase the game will receive early in-game unlocks when the game releases, such as:
- New Game+ Horse
- Traveler’s Attire
- Broken Armor dyes from Baku’s Shop
With Ghost of Tsushima coming to PC, this marks the first Sucker Punch Productions game to venture outside of the PlayStation, as their other famous works such as the Sly Cooper series and Infamous series are all PlayStation exclusives.
But judging from how certain PlayStation exclusives such as The Last Of Us Part 1 have been on the PC, it would seem that Sony Interactive Entertainment will continue the trend for the foreseeable future.
