Bennett Foddy, creator of ‘Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy’ or ‘Getting Over It‘ for short has taken to Twitter to state that he will happily give the license to adaption the game into a movie for free as long as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson plays the main character, Diogenes, the guy in the pot.
In this completely serious proposition, Foddy has called out to all big Hollywood producers with this offer on a Twitter post featuring The Rock photoshopped onto a picture of the pot guy.
He has even suggested that Uwe Boll (Alone in The Dark, Bloodrayne) direct it and Mark Whalberg be cast as the pot. In a response to a comment, he also said that he himself should be played by Guy Pearce since the actor has a closest accent to his own.
lots of folks joking about this today. Here’s what isn’t a joke: if you are a big Hollywood producer and you can get The Rock on board, I’ll license Getting Over It to you for free. You can get Uwe Boll to direct it, cast Mark Wahlberg as the pot, whatever you like https://t.co/LpOOPWMcEt

This was posted following news of The Rock announcing that he would be acting in another video game adaption but refused to say which franchise it would be for.
Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is an indie platformer where the player controls a man in a pot, wielding a sledgehammer. The player uses the mouse to control the sledgehammer and uses it to climb up a mountain.
While this is happening a disembodied voice can be heard played by Bennett Foddy, commenting on several philosophical topics including the ideas of determination and perseverance, which the player will likely need to complete the game as well as various other objectives in life.
Would you be interested in a Getting Over It movie starring The Rock as Diogenes, The Pot Guy? It would certainly be more faithful casting than most video game adaptions.
Getting Over It is available on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux, as well as mobile devices.
