A new job-hunting website, CareerBraves, has just launched. The website is a partnership between Digital Braves Media Group, Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and Singapore Games Association (SGGA).
In a press statement, they said that the goal of the site was “focusing on consolidating gaming jobs from Singapore and Malaysia on one convenient portal for interested parties to apply, or advertise for positions to find the right fit for the team”.
Matching Good Employees With Employers Who Need Them
According to Sean Lim, CEO of Digital Braves Media Group and Founder of CareerBraves, the website aims to connect specific talents with the employers that need them.
“Hiring, and hiring right, has always been an issue for the gaming industry,” Lim says. “By establishing CareerBraves, I believe we can start solving the problem. With more features in the future, we can make life easier for both job seekers and recruiters.”
Mohan Low, Head of Digital Creative Content, Digital Creative Content at MDEC says the website is part of MDEC’s plans to develop the gaming industry in Malaysia.
“We believe that Careerbraves will be a useful resource to help grow the games industry. It aligns with MDEC’s goals to make this growing sector easily accessible to all digital talents within Malaysia, be it supporting game developers or anyone seeking positions within the industry to tap on the potential available in the region.” he says.
Meanwhile, Gwen Guo, Chairperson of the SSGA also notes that consolidating listings from Malaysia and Singapore into one website will only increase the opportunities available to jobseekers.
“CareerBraves is a much-needed portal which consolidates gaming jobs from Singapore and Malaysia into one place, making it convenient for job-seekers to browse and find relevant opportunities in these countries. We hope that this will facilitate better job matching for companies to find the right talent for their needs”, she says.
Jobs Making And Writing About Games
The website is targeting a thousand listings by January 2021, and currently features openings for studios like Ubisoft Singapore, as well as media sites like Wanuxi and GamerSantai. It also features several listings for SIE Worldwide Studios.
The website’s listings feature all the necessary requirements for the jobs, as well as additional instructions to help with your application. Each listing also has tags, so you can search based on the relevant tags you want.
