FOUNDERS EDITION

As if that’s not enough, you can also get the Founders Edition GeForce graphic cards, featuring excellent cooling and stunning designs for a stunning PC showcase. The new GeForce RTX 30 series has an innovative dual axial flow through cooling solution, featuring two fans – one at the left front, and another on the right rear that draws air through the card. The GeForce RTX 3070’s design differs slightly, with the fans mounted on the top instead. Regardless of the design, heat is drawn away from the components into the hybrid vapor chamber, which is then efficiently distributed across the length of the card and throughout the massive aluminum fin stack. The left fan pushes air heated by the fin stack out through extra-large GPU bracket vents, while the right fan draws the air towards the top chassis exhaust.

GPU circuit boards are often the length of the graphics card, but NVIDIA’s engineers have managed to shrink the PCB, NVLink and power connectors to insert a full-sized fan in the rear of the card, plus still have 18-phases for improved power delivery. An adapter is included to ensure Founders Edition cards will work with existing power supplies.

With all that stuffed in, the Founders Edition design is still quieter than traditional dual axial coolers while still delivering nearly 2x the cooling performance of previous generation solutions. The mentioned NVLink and power design changes have created more space for airflow through the largest fin stack to date, with larger bracket vents improving airflow in concert with individually shaped shroud fins. Enjoy maximum airflow, minimal temperatures, and highest performance possible with least amount of noise.

NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors

As we dive further into what makes these cards work, the Streaming Multiprocessors (SMs) are at the heart of NVIDIA GPUs,, with the newest NVIDIA Ampere Streaming Multiprocessors being the best yet, offering 2x FP32 throughput for superior performance. 2nd Generation Ray Tracing Cores & 3rd Generation Tensor Cores

With the invention of Ray Tracing Cores, NVIDIA made real-time videogame ray tracing a reality, as dedicated cores on the GPU designed specifically to tackle performance-intensive ray tracing workloads.
