Genshin Impact’s official X account has recently tweeted that a wind glider that will be obtainable during the offline collaboration event with KFC in China “Wings of Delicacies”, will be made available on later dates for other regions. Details on how to obtain the wind glider will be announced before December 2024.
This availability will be aligned with the 4.8 update and will be offered in in-game events in various regions. For those who haven’t seen it, here’s what it looks like.

This isn’t the first time that miHoYo has decided to collab with the fast food chain. Previously, during the collaboration event, the “Wings of Feasting” was made available for other regions via Twitch subscriptions. Some were unhappy that it was only obtainable through that and voiced that they would rather just buy the wind gliders from the in-game shop.
The recent collaboration with KFC has started on July 8, 2024 in China. The featured characters this time are Fontainian siblings Lyney and Lynette. This collaboration was announced during the 4.8 livestream for the game. Fans can expect special merch, rewards and collaborative food items in the menu during the event.
As mentioned, the KFC Glider “Wings of Delicacies” will be made available on later dates in in-game events for the players belonging in other regions of Genshin Impact. Details on how to get it will be announced before December 2024.
For China players, head on over to your nearest KFC outlet to try out the limited savory food while you still can!
