HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 5.3 which is titled Incandescent Ode of Resurrection, will launch on January 1. The update introduces Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, who will join the Traveler in a crucial battle for Natlan’s future. Players can also participate in the Lantern Rite festival in Liyue, earning rewards like Primogems, Intertwined Fates, and a free 4-star Liyue character.
Mavuika’s Archon Quest and Abilities
The update features a new Archon Quest where Mavuika and the Traveler confront new threats, including the Abyssal Mimic Dragon. Mavuika, a protector of Natlan, wields a claymore or summons her Flamestrider for Pyro-based combat. Her Elemental Skill, Ring of Searing Radiance, deals continuous Pyro damage, while her Elemental Burst offers AoE Pyro damage and boosts her combat effectiveness.
New Characters: Citlali and Lan Yan
Citlali, a 5-star Cryo Catalyst, arrives with her companions, offering powerful Cryo shields and AoE damage. She will appear in the first half of Version 5.3’s Event Wishes. Lan Yan, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst, will debut later in the update, bringing versatile elemental damage through her Swallow-Wisp Shield.
Lantern Rite Celebrations
The Lantern Rite returns, rewarding players with Primogems, a free 4-star Liyue character, and new outfits for Xiangling and Hu Tao. Special mini-games and combat challenges offer additional rewards like the “New Year’s Cheer” outfit.
New Features and Updates
Version 5.3 brings several updates, including the permanent addition of the rhythm game mode, where players can compose and share music. Kazuha and Ganyu’s new Echo cosmetics will also be available in the Imaginarium Theater. The character level-up process has been streamlined with a more accessible Training Guide, additional Artifact Inventory space, and faster respawn rates for Boss enemies.
Genshin Impact Version 5.3 will be available on January 1 across PlayStation & Xbox consoles, PC via Epic Games Store, Android, and iOS.
