The Carddass Genshin Impact cards are now available in Japan, and we managed to procure our own box to try our luck at some real life Gacha.
The Box
Anyone who’s played a CCG should be familiar with this kind of box, meant to hold the booster packs. Each Booster Pack contains 2 cards, along with a checklist card for seeing all the cards in the set.
The Cards
As for the cards themselves, they feature all the playable characters from Genshin Impact, up until Ganyu. There’s no distinction in the cards themselves between 4 and 5-star characters, which makes them all look really nice together.
Personally, I’m a huge fan of the metallic finish on the cards, which gives them a nice sheen. The cards themselves feel a little thin, and are lighter than, say, Magic: The Gathering cards.
It should be noted that since these cards were made for a Japanese audience, many of the Liyue characters’ names are reflective of the Japanese localization, such as Ningguang being Gyoko, and Zhongli being Shouri.
The back of the cards also feature art of the characters, more akin to their in-game splash art.
It should be noted that while this is the complete set from the box, not every box is guaranteed it. Some cards have a much higher rarity, and can be absent from the box.
There’s currently no plans to release them overseas, but you can check out the official website here.
