Ahead of the version update, Genshin Impact has released a preview of the Electro element, in The Inazuma Diaries vol 1 on the official forums.
Electrogranum can be summoned from Thunder Sakura Boughs scattered around the islands of Inazuma. Electrogranum, much like its other elemental brethren, will only accompany you for a set duration of time.
The Grand Narukami Shrine houses the Sacred Sakura. You can raise the levels of the Sacred Sakura’s Favour, making Electrogranum also more powerful. Throughout your adventures, you can also find Electro Sigils. Offer the Sigils to the Sacred Sakura to raise the Favour Level and get many valuable items in return.
The Electrograna will be able to provide you a variety of benefits:
- Bring one to a Thunder Sphere to activate it, letting you travel swiftly in the Thunder Sphere’s direction. An icon at the bottom of the screen will light up indicating an active Thunder Sphere
- Traverse through Thunder Barriers. Some barriers require stronger Electrogranum, so you’ll need to raise your Sacred Sakura’s Favour Levels in order to pass
- Thunderstones will continuously inflict damage. An Electrogranum can temporarily suppress its power so that you can explore unimpeded
- Electrograna can protect you from areas with high Electro concentrations, a phenomenon known as Balethunder. It works much like Sheer Cold. Thunderwood can also protect you from Balethunder’s effects
Other curiosities include Electro Seelie, which can zip off at high speeds. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled! Certain piles of stones also contain Electro, which may respond to certain Elemental Reactions…
That’s about it for the Inazuma Diaries vol 1, we’ll see you when the patch hits Genshin Impact soon!
