Playing FPS games on mobile somehow doesn’t feel so enjoyable when you compared it to PC, but here is something that you will like. GameSir X1 BattleDock is an innovative docking station that allows you to control FPS mobile games with mouse and keyboard (no root needed)!
Using its GameSir World app (Android) or Happy Chick Emulator (iOS), you can connect a mouse and keyboard to your smartphone via the Bluetooth connection. It supports non-Bluetooth keyboards ranging from membrane keyboard, mechanical keyboard to one-hand keyboard, and supports non-Bluetooth mouses (wired mouse or 2.4Ghz wireless dongle mouse).
Here is how you can use it:
- iOS (version 7.0 or above)
- Download and install Happy Chick Emulator.
- Browse and download the supported games through the app.
- Short press the mode switch button on GameSir X1 for once to turn on the Bluetooth.
- Enter the game you downloaded, tap the blue controller icon at the upper left corner to connect it to your mobile device (make sure Bluetooth on mobile is turned on).
- If the connection is successful, the GameSir X1’s Bluetooth indicator light will stay solid, while the gamepad icon on your iOS device’s screen will be turned green.
- Insert keyboard and mouse to USB Port-1 and USB Port-2, and you are ready to enjoy your game.
- Android (version 4.0 or above)
- Download and install GameSir World App.
- Turn on “Developer Options” and allow USB Debugging.
- The GameSir World App will show “Successfully mapped” after allowing USB Debugging and turning on all the permissions.
- Tap the “+” to add your favourite games to the list.
- Short press the mode switch button on GameSir X1 for once to turn on the Bluetooth.
- Turn on Bluetooth in your mobile device and connect it to “GameSir-X1”.
- The Bluetooth indicator light will keep solid if it is successfully connected to your mobile device.
- Insert keyboard and mouse to USB Port-1 and USB Port-2
- Start the game through GameSir World App by selecting “Direct Play by G-Engine” and you are ready to enjoy your game.
Since GameSir X1 BattleDock is designed for mobile FPS games such as Rules of Survival and Knives Out, the preset button configuration is already available (for selected games). You can also customize your own button configuration and save it to the cloud for other users to use.
It comes with a massive 3000mAh battery that could probably last longer than your phone’s battery life (unless you are using keyboard and mouse with high-power consumption). Also, it is having a foldable design so you can store it easily or adjust it to an angle that is comfortable for you to view your smartphone display.
As it uses the Bluetooth connection, some of you might worry about lags or delay that will affect your gaming experience. Thanks to the Bluetooth 4.0 technology, you can stop worrying about them – every action from your keyboard and mouse will be reflected instantly in the mobile game. So far I haven’t encountered any delays in my few matches of Rules of Survival using the BattleDock.
However, not every FPS mobile game allows you to use the BattleDock as it provides an advantage against the normal players. One of the examples is PUBG Mobile and it may result in account banning if you are unlucky. You can still use it on the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile through, not to mention that there are a lot of other mobile FPS games that are compatible with the BattleDock too.
GameSir X1 BattleDock is available in silver at $45.90 (about RM192). You can visit the official site for more information and the full tutorial on how to use it!
