gamescom Asia has announced a new format for their Entertainment Zone, with the physical event being more focused on Business-to-Business (B2B) items.
For those looking forward to presentations of upcoming games, the gamescom Asia Entertainment Zone will be streamed online meaning you’ll be able to catch it from the comfort of your home.
“We apologise to the fans who have been waiting to celebrate and interact offline with each other and their favourite games at the festival, and welcome them to join us for a borderless online experience this year”, the organizers said in a statement. “Our virtual shows will showcase up-and-coming games from Asia and beyond to a worldwide audience. Our STEAM event page launches this year and will offer game demos and previews, flash sales and more for all to enjoy”.
Meanwhile, attendees of the in-person gamescom Asia event can instead look forward to exhibitors for the show’s Trade Zone, with a strong B2B focus.
It features an Expo area, a Trade Conference, Networking, and a Developer-Publisher-Investor Speed Dating event.
“We are very encouraged by the interest and trust that companies have in gamescom Asia. The team is doubling up its efforts to bring in a good variety of brands, speakers and networking opportunities to support the industry, and we hope to put forth a strong show this year,” the organizers have said.
gamescom Asia will be held from the 20th to 22nd October in Singapore this year.
