Indie Wavemakers 2023 has concluded its Award Ceremony, crowning the food-themed adventure game Cuisineer with two awards while Light Odyssey, a boss-rush hack-and-slash earned the title of Most Creative.
With the Indie Wavemakers 2023 coming to a climax, the event wraps up with an Award Ceremony, where the best indie games will receive awards according to their nominated categories.
As part of the gamescom asia 2023, the Indie Wavemakers 2023 was held for indie developers and publishers to showcase their upcoming games.
There are three categories available, namely the Judges’ Choice Award, the Creativity Award, and the Audience Choice Award.
Two out of the three awards will be selected by a panel of judges while the Audience Choice Award was voted by attendees at gamescom asia 2023.
As the results came in, Cuisineer by BattleBrew Productions managed to win two awards from the available categories, namely the Judges’ Choice Award from panels, as well as the Audience Choice Award by attendees’ votes.
Described as a wholesome food-focused game, Cuisineer is an adventure title where you play as Pom, a young adventurer turned restaurateur.
Meanwhile, Light Odyssey, an action game by SSun Games was awarded the title of Most Creative, winning the Creativity Award during the event.
Light Odyssey is described as an action-packed boss-rush adventurer where players explore ruins, challenge Colossus, and aim to restore light to the world.
