[Gamescom Asia 2022] MYTONA Explains The Reason to The Day Before Delays

During the virtual media day for the upcoming annual Gamescom Asia 2022 event, we had the chance to attend the MYTONA session where they answered some questions regarding the development of The Day Before.

To those who were unfamiliar, the release date for The Day Before had been slightly delayed due to the update with Unreal Engine 5 and the publishers mentioned that they wanted to get the best possible product out to the consumer and that they didn’t mind having delaying the game if it means giving out better quality products.

Rhea Ram, the HR advisor for MYTONA quotes that: “The production of The Day Before has been going pretty well and we also have been working alongside our partner with this. There was a slight delay in the release date due to the update with Unreal, so we are trying to get the best possible product out to our consumers. We don’t mind having a slight delay if it means that it gives a better quality product.”

She also says that “It’s an interesting time for us, it’s definitely the biggest and most anticipated that we are publishing on Steam at the moment. It’s really exciting for us as a team here.”

The Day Before is an open-world MMO survival game developed by FNTASTIC and published by MYTON and was considered to be Steam’s most wishlisted game. The game is planned to be release on 1st March 2023.
