[Gamescom 2019] ONE PIECE Pirate Warriors 4 – Smashing its cake to 2020

The Pirate King is back since the last ONE PIECE Pirate Warriors 3 back in 2015! Since we last covered it, we at least have a time frame now. Welcome to the Whole Cake Island arc!

The new trailer has Sanji seemingly quitting the crew. One has to wonder what the story behind this will be.

Is he leaving the pirate life behind to get married to Pudding? Knowing Big Mom though, this doesn’t look like it’ll turn out well. We know that Sanji would definitely be playable, along with Jimbei and Reiju. There’ll be 6 new playable characters along with Luffy, including the aforementioned three.

It looks like the environment can be destroyed, so we’ll see how this will affect gameplay. If you’ve played the other ONE PIECE Warriors, getting back into this game wouldn’t likely be very hard for you.

Big Mom is, well, big, and we get a glimpse of how she’s going to be attacking the crew in the trailer.

2020 can’t come any sooner to see what else the Straw Hat Pirates are going to get up to! ONE PIECE Pirate Warriors 4 will be out for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Digital PC. Southeast Asia will get the game with English subtitles and Japanese voice-over.
