The wave-based cooperative survival mode will be back again in Gears 5. Once again, you will need to team up with other players to fight off waves of enemies coming in. Each wave will gradually have stronger enemies for you will face against. They announced the Gears 5 Horde mode in the Microsoft’s Inside Xbox Gamescom and released the trailer for the announcement.
Only this time the Horde mode has been added some little bit of modern twist to it. Each character inside the game will have their own special ultimate including abilities as well. A great example will be Kait can use cloak to hide yourself from the enemy sight and strike your blow strategically. You can also play as Jack, the Jack-of-All-Trades Robot. He can hover around the map, heal and repairs. You can also hack enemies and take over their body! Besides that, there is also a new feature called Power Taps. There will be energy geysers that will appear on the map for every 10th wave. You will need to capture these taps in order to harvest power and rewards.
For you my Halo friends, Halo Reach characters will be joining in Gears 5. Emile and Kat making their appearance in Gears 5. You will get Halo Reach: Noble Team Jack skin and Halo Reach: Noble Team banner. Not only that, Halo Reach: Blood Spray and Halo Reach Team Mark will also be included in the pack. You can get the Halo: Reach Character pack in the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition or you can get it with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
