The ROG Ally has dropped and while it has a couple of faults, overall it’s been well received giving us a powerful handheld device that can play the latest AAA games on the market away from TVs and monitors.
The Ally however is just one entry in the recent trend of handhelds that are essentially portable PCs. Last year we had the Steam Deck taking the world gaming community by storm, followed by the Ayaneo Air, the ONEXPlayer, and likely many more to come. Devices that combine the technical flexibility and power of a PC with the convenience of a console: a bridge between both worlds.
