This week’s issue of the GamerBraves Newsletter will dip your toes into the world of video game speedrunning and its incredible achievements.
For the uninitiated, speedrunning, sometimes known as real-time attack (RTA) is the act of trying to beat a game or a portion of it as fast as possible. Video games are products made for players to have fun. Speedrunners, on the other hand, put speed above fun (note that most speedrunners will still play and enjoy the game normally the first time around before attempting a speedrun).
Over the years, speedrunning has evolved, with communities setting up various restrictions and categories which typically makes the run harder. Some of these runs can range from mere seconds to more than 24 hours of continuous, nonstop play.
If the idea of potentially ending up on the Guinness Book of Records just by playing video games quickly interests you, make sure to read our newsletter! You can do so by subscribing with your email below:
Together with this issue, we are giving away codes for Total War: Three Kingdoms for PC via Steam. We are also pleased to announce that next week’s issue will also have a giveaway.
