Gamepub has announced they will be launching a Fairy Tail mobile game in Korea. The name, roughly translated to Fairy Tail: The Great Journey, will be available for mobile devices in Korea come Summer 2022.
It’s unclear if this is a regional release of another mobile title or a completely new one, since the inven post only shows the one teaser image. The game is a strategy RPG based off the anime, where fans will be able to see the good ol’ cast all over again. Much of the description talks about a faithful recreation of the battle effects of the respective mages, featuring strategic battles, hero collection and team building.
There will be forms of PVP alongside staple mobile features akin to a home base, expeditions, and the like. Completing the beginner missions in their entirety can get you up to 200 free summons.
Gamepub has published English localized mobile games before, so perhaps if this release proves popular in Korea, they could eventually bring it to a worldwide audience. As of right now, plans for launch are as mentioned, planned for Korea sometime Summer 2022. If you’re interested, keep an eye out for the eventual pre-registrations opening, though Korean releases typically require a valid local number.
