Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the launch date for Gakuen Idolmaster in Japan.
The idol raising mobile simulation game will be released on the App Store and Google Play on the 16th of May 2024 in Japan.
In Gakuen Idolmaster, you play as a new student enrolling in the producer department of Hatsuboshi Gakuen, an idol training school. As you progress through the game, players will scout, train, and raise idol candidates to become shining stars.
Gakuen Idolmaster is being developed by QualiArts, best known for the mobile idol RPG, Idoly Pride.
The main scenario for the game is written by Tsukasa Fushimi, Yu Shimizu, and Kazuki Amamiya while character drafts were designed by Aki Minamino and Hechima. As an idol raising game, the cast of music also features a lineup of well known composers such as Giga, NayutalieN, Honeyworks, Moe Shop, and Shou Watanabe of sajou no hana.
This game will mark the latest entry in the in the Idolmaster series and the ninth Idolmaster mobile game. it is the 2nd mobile Idolmaster game of the 3.0 Vision era, after The Idolmaster Shiny Colors Song For Prism.
At the moment, the game is still slated to be exclusive to Japan and no official statement has been made on plans for a potential global release in the future.
Pre-registrations for Gakuen Idolmaster are available now via the App Store and Google Play. Keep in mind you will need device in the Japanese region to pre-register the game and download it when it releases.
