Gacha Shoot ’em up Touhou Gensou Eclipse Now Available in Japan

CAVE Interactive has announced that their latest title, Touhou Gensou Eclipse is now available to download in Japan.

Touhou Gensou Eclipse is a mobile gacha shoot ’em up based on the popular Touhou Project series.

The game is currently available on the Japanese Google Play Store, with the Apple App Store version coming soon.

As of time of writing, it is still unsure whether the game will be available in other regions.

The game had opened up for pre-registrations back in September with their own pre-registration campaign which results exceeded over 200,000 pre-registrations.

Based on the game’s description, the synopsis is as follows:

“Gensokyo, a paradise where forgotten beings gather.

In a peaceful land where humans and monsters coexist, “they” suddenly appear.

Gensokyo is thrown into chaos due to a new existence that has never existed before.

The “girls” who live there have their own thoughts and begin to move.

A great change begins that erodes illusions.”

Touhou Gensou Eclipse feature a mechanic called “recall cards” where characters in the game can equip to imitate various memories and experience to inherit their power.

The game also consists of various content such as Boss Battles where players will need to survive a series of bosses, Tower Battle where players climb up the towers that rise to the top and more.
