At the Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile pre-release livestream, as promised, they showed off more gameplay as well as finally revealing its release date. Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile will release in Japan first on 4 August 2022.
The livestream showcased more of the gameplay, confirming it to be a strategy RPG. Each character looks to have 3 skills and an ultimate skill, and will have a certain range of tiles they can move around on. The upgrade system looks to have three primary nodes to improve, while characters should be able to equip things known as “memories” to further improve their stats. As you might expect, these can be limit broken to increase their level cap.
The gacha was also shown off, with the characters arriving on a train following your “phone call”. From the livestream, it takes at least 10 coins to do a 10-pull, though it’s unclear if those are “tickets” or paid currency. The characters all have some Live2D on their first appearance, even the Rs, so the gacha does at least look very attractive.
The game has also since hit 1 million pre-registrations. Whether they’ll be adding even more stretch goals we should know shortly, since the launch date is pretty close now. Hopefully the game will make its way globally sooner rather than later, so stay tuned for that.
