Just recently, Tencent Games had made an announcement on their official Twitter account showing a couple of games that are confirmed to be coming onto their PC platform, WeGame. If you don’t know, Tencent’s WeGame is a platform for the PC that is alike Steam. Players will be able to play distributed games on the WeGame platform just like on Steam.
With the games that were featured on the post, one of it which is Monster Hunter: World, is a game confirmed to be coming to Tencent’s WeGame platform. So it is only safe to say that No Man’s Sky, Jurassic World: Evolution AND Fortnite will be playable on Tencent’s WeGame platform for the PC.
The date seen on the poster for Fortnite is a date that supposedly indicates that Fornite will be launched on Tencent WeGame on the 24th July, 2018. That means, Fortnite will be playable in China as well. However, we are unsure if the server will be merged or the players in China will only be playing in their own dedicated server.
Tencent’s WeGame will also be launching an international edition which will also be distributing the games stated above. That means, WeGame will be competing against Steam, the pioneer of games distributing platform for the PC. Of course, these are only the few games that are coming to WeGame first and we will definitely see more coming in the future.
