After its Southeast Asia release, strategy mobile card game MARVEL Duel will take things to the next level of competitive action with the Tournament of Asgard. This open player tournament will be the very first MARVEL Duel competitive event, boasting rewards including a prize pool of over USD 10,000, exclusive card backs, and over 1000 General Card Packs to be given away.
Registration has opened for 144 players starting 4 September 2020 through 17 September 2020. In the tournament, the winners will be rewarded as such: first place taking home USD 4,000; second place USD 2500; third place USD 2000; and fourth to sixth place taking USD 500. There will also be an exclusive card back given to the top 12, while the reward for champion will be worthy of the title: a one-and-only [AsgardChampion Emoji], showing the skills of a true MARVEL Duelmaster. At least according to the press release. As an added bonus, after the final, the three top players will play against the dev team in the Dev Team Challenge Showdown, an exhibition match of sorts. Should you somehow missed it, be sure to check our coverage on the game here, but to refresh, MARVEL Duel is a strategic card battle card game that will bring together a roster of over 150 heroes and villains from the Marvel universe, including the likes of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hela, Captain Marvel, Elektra and Star-Lord. What’s great here is that there will be multiple versions of the same character, so expect to see multiple variants of Iron Man, and Spider-Man from various alternate universes. The game is currently available in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines for the Android and iOS platforms.
