Via PTTNews, we have our first look at the mobile Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat gameplay! Granted, the game has been delayed as we’ve previously reported. We did also mention the game will be entering a test period, so with this gameplay video, could we dare hope it to be soon?
From the get-go, we can see Dante’s Shotgun, otherwise known as the “Coyote-A”, showcased. Alongside the classic weapon, we also get the twin swords Agni and Rudra. The Coyote-A has been a staple in the Devil May Cry series, while Agni and Rudra, and their corresponding bosses, first showed up in Devil May Cry 3.
The gameplay video shows off the combo system DMC fans should be well acquainted with: just Dante juggling demons in the air with no respect for physics and gravity. Going by the weapons, perhaps it is safe to say it will at least feature bosses and/or stages up to the third Devil May Cry game.
Well, what do you readers think? The music, the combos, the style of the game meeting your expectations so far? The gameplay video doesn’t remotely give a hint of what control system we’ll be getting with this game, unfortunately. Considering the apparent fluidity of performing the air combos and juggles, how well could that translate into a few buttons on screen?
Let’s just hope that test period surfaces soon so that we can find out!
