Good news for those Final Fantasy fans, another mobile game from Square Enix has now arrived! Final Fantasy Dissidia: Opera Omnia is a free-to-play game released on Japan’s iOS and Android platforms at February 1, 2017. The game is co-developed by Square Enix and Team Ninja of Koei Tecmo, and published by Square Enix. Here is the trailer:
The game is set in the same world as the original Dissidia Final Fantasy, following the story of legendary “Final Fantasy” characters gathered before two gods to help save the world. Great amount of popular characters from past Final Fantasy titles are featured with voices in the game.
For the gameplay, the game uses a turn-based battle system which combines the Brave System from the Dissidia series and the command-based battles that Final Fantasy fans familiar with. Besides, every single character comes with their own abilities and characteristics powers. Importing the Brave System from the Dissidia series allows you to use the “Brave Attacks” and “HP Attacks” in the game. However, there is a limit on how many times you can use your Brave attacks. Do keep that in mind in your battle! Check out this short gameplay video:
As a conclusion, Final Fantasy Dissidia: Opera Omnia looks really cool to me and I personally loves the battle animations. Its graphics are great too! Sadly the game is currently only available in Japan, but we can hope for a global release very soon.
