Fire Emblem Heroes: Is Takumi overpowered and how to counter him

As Fire Emblem Heroes has launched on iOS and Android platform over the week, most hardcore player should knew which characters are the best to have in team. Many different opinions voiced out, however there is one character in particular who towers the rest which is Takumi.

Takumi is a contrary prince of Hoshido from Fire Emblem Fates, who wields a very powerful divine bow, Fujin Yumi. Classified into archer class, he is considered one of the best character with an impressive set of skills. With his passive skill Close Counter he can counter attack regardless of distance to attacker unlike other archers who can only attack from a long range. Besides, he is quite strong against flying units too.

And of course, Takumi is a 5 star rarity hero which is very difficult to pull. Some even reroll for hours just to get a Takumi. Now we can see Takumi has been really common in high ranking matches, but no worry, there are still plenty of other strong units to take down the powerful Takumi.

Some suggestion from Fire Emblem Heroes community:

For what I observed, many suggested Robin and Hector to counter Takumi down. Robin has advantage over colorless units and high spread abilities. This allows him to compete with Takumi 1vs1 as long as certain conditions meets: not starting within 2 squares of Takumi who attacks first, not having any speed buffs or having Robin attack first so you can get the KO attack.

While for Hector, like Takumi, he can counter attack regardless of distance to attacker. Together with his powerful weapon skill Armads, he can make a guaranteed follow-up attack when attacked at Health Points ≥ 80%. He is only hurt by magic too since he is an armored unit. However, red affinity units can easily kill Hector.

Lets see if Nintendo has plans to rebalance the game in future updates to adjust Takumi and other characters. Or else the game can considered broken with such overpowered character included in every team soon.
