Final Gear enters soft launch in select regions

Final Gear is now in its soft launch phase for Australia and New Zealand, as announced by its English Twitter. Unfortunately for iOS users, the Final Gear soft launch appears to be limited to Android for the time being. The official website isn’t updated with an iOS store page at time of writing.

A developer letter has been published as well, identifying themselves as FlashWing Studio, and talking about their journey in launching the game. The most pertinent points are the adjustments that have been made for its global launch:

• Limited SSR characters can be obtained for free by participating in certain events
• Adjustments to upgrading system for character star levels: character pieces will be obtained on acquiring the same unit repeatedly, which can then be used to increase their star level

With the soft launch, it is their hope that players will provide feedback so that they can further improve the game, as producer Meng Luren signs off. The general FAQ for the game mentions an open beta where players can claim pre-registration rewards, though no date has been given for that. The number of pre-registrations is presently at over 80,000. To recap, here are the rewards you can get at various milestones:
