In November 2024, Final Fantasy XIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida spoke in an interview on the development and plans made for the discontinued MMORPG’s new mobile release.
With no official date of release announced worldwide, demo play tests will be made available in China firsthand before the actual launching of the game.
In addition to this, the CN App Store on iOS has placed a release date earlier stating Final Fantasy XIV Mobile will release on August 29 this year. Although this may not be a confirmed date fans can stand by, CN fans can still look forward to playing the demo beforehand.

Final Fantasy XIV Mobile starts off with the player being called upon by the Mothercrystal, carrying a ray of hope to the world of Hydaelyn. Take on the Primals to save the region of Eorza from fatal doom and embrace the call of the adventurer and witness an endless journey filled with challenges heartwarming memories and soul crushing moments all within what the realm will offer and more.
The mobile game will also offer customizable characters from a range of playable races, all with their own appearance and background.

Upon launch, the player can choose between eleven crafting and gathering classes, allowing for the best experience of Eorzea at the players pace, whether is be a master fisher, an expert miner, alchemist and many more.
Side activities will also include fun choices along the lines of fishing, Chocobo racing and the Triple Triad card game in the Gold Saucer.

Pre-registrations can still be made on the official Final Fantasy XIV Mobile website, the game page is now live on the iOS App Store for users in China. Follow the official X account to be kept up to date with the progress of the game that is yet to come.
